The brain and instructions

The brain is the agent's instructions: what it knows, its tone, its rules. You write them in plain language and insert capabilities by typing "/".

In the Brain tab, the Instructions area is a text editor. This is where you describe the agent's tone, rules, and boundaries, like briefing an employee. Your changes stay in draft until you publish.

Insert a capability with "/"

Type / anywhere in the instructions to open the capabilities menu. Each one is inserted as a colored tag, inline within the text, like a mention. Some tags carry an argument that you fill in at insertion time (the handoff message, the teammate to assign to) and that stays visible in the tag.

What the agent sees

The tag is stored in a compact form (for example {{handoff|…}}), but the agent receives a clear instruction in natural language. You work with tags, never with syntax.

The model and the delay

Below the instructions, you choose the model that powers the agent and its reasoning level: that's the subject of the Model and reasoning page. The response delay, meanwhile, lets the agent group together messages sent in quick succession before replying.
